Ik zal even wat linkjes plaatsen met zeer goeie info;
http://www.hppdonline.com/forum/ < = alle info over hppd vind je hier
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_snow <= info over de oogruis die wij ervaren.

Lees vooral DIT topic (
http://p210.ezboard.com/fthosewithvisua ...
studying myself with hppd for the past 4 years ive noticed alot of things..
here are my tips
1. dont over sleep.. getting to much sleep will make you feel extremly dp/dr the next day...
2. try waking up at the same time everyday and going to bed at a reasonable hour. the way i sleep has made my days great or a total nightmare
3.things will get better even if sometimes they get worse.
4. try not to dwell on your symptoms. i know it hard to keep looking at your afterimages and what not but try not to do it.
5. this is a long shot but.... move to a place that is warm and has lots of sunny days. cloudy and rainy days with cold weather will make you feel like shit, when you go outside on shitty days it makes you feel worse. I am almost normal during sunny warm days.
6. if you are room bound try to take down posters on your walls or random objects that make no use.. To many things in your enviroment create excessive visual stimulation.
7. excersise, eat healthy and quit smoking, really helps. try to improve your self image, it will make you feel better.
8. for me taking naps in the afternoon make things worse.... i can go from having a great day and then ill take a nap, when i wake up i am extremly dp/dr
9. get a hobbie, find something to do that you enjoy.. i work on my car and now i just bought a RC-Car, they are fun to tinker with and drive around.
10. get a girlfreind or a boyfreind that will support you and try to understand your problems. My girlfreind is the backbone to all of my accomplishments. I would not be alive today if it wasnt for her.
11. get off the computer, try not to use the computer so much
12. stay active and buzy, if you sit in your room all the time you are bound to get anxiety. even people with no anxiety will get anxious if they are stuck in a room all day. sitting on the computer does not count as keeping buzy.
13. meds suck, they may fix some of your problems but they will create other. I just came off zoloft after 3 years... i am getting such bad bodys jolts/ brain zaps.
14. again i can not stress enough how important sleep is.. I found it better to not get enough sleep then too much sleep. Id say try not to sleep more than 9 hours a day.
15. dont drink alcohol
16. keep your head up guys, there are lots of people worse than us...
and if you are ever thinking about killing yourself just remember you may end your own pain but there is always someone else that loves you, and killing yourself will just begin there pain. Rip your eyes out of your head first before you kill yourself
